BY Anam Hamid(Doctor of Physiotherapy) Effectiveness of Aerobic Exercise on Hypertension Abstract Hypertension is characterized by persistently raised pressure in the blood vessels. Blood Pressure 140/90 is considered to be hypertensive. Hypertension can lead to various notorious complications in the body. It is a review article and the objective of this article is to study the effectiveness of aerobic training on hypertension. Google Scholar, PubMed were used for the literature search. Lifestyle modification such as exercise (aerobic exercise) is really helpful in controlling hypertension. Aerobic training whether of upper or lower limb despite its intensity reduces blood pressure. Aerobic Training helps in decreasing the blood pressure by an estimate of 5 mm Hg to 7 mm Hg. Hypertensive patients should indulge in the aerobic activity of 30-50 min daily.
